Australia’s Coral Coast… a place where pristine white sandy beaches, spectacular rock formations, and arid outback landscapes create a kaleidoscope of colour like nowhere else on Earth. Stretching over 1000kms of breathtaking coastline from Cervantes, two hours north of Perth, Western Australia, to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, you’ll find some of the best-known and most loved attractions in Australia from the Pinnacles, Kalbarri National Park, and Shark Bay World Heritage Area to Monkey Mia and the mesmerising Ningaloo Reef, Coral Bay. Add to this some of Western Australia’s world-famous wildflower displays and this guided Pack-Free walk ticks all the boxes.
We’ll also enjoy a 4WD tour of Francois Peron National Park, where the fiery red desert cliffs meet the turquoise sea, as well as seeing the fabulous scenery by air on a scenic flight from Shark Bay to Carnarvon (saving us half a day on the road).
Carry as little as your water and lunch
One of the biggest drawcards of this walk is that our guests won’t be asked to carry their clothes, food or overnight bags for the entire walk. This is a big advantage in that you will avoid carrying an additional 8kg or more on your back. With Life’s An Adventure, you will carry as little as your water bottle, lunch and camera each day.

WALK ITINERARY: Meet your guides in the foyer of the DoubleTree Hotel Northbridge, Perth at 7.30am for your transfer to The Pinnacles in Nambung National Park (approximately 3 hours drive). The Pinnacles are amazing natural limestone structures, formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left deposits of sea shells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements. After our time exploring The Pinnacles we’ll drive a further 2 hours to the Yued Ponar Loop Trail. The trail winds its way through a diverse landscape featuring low heath, small sections of Wandoo woodlands, along winding creek lines and up several short, steep slopes to the top of Mt Peron where you are rewarded with spectacular views of the Lesueur NP, all the way to the Indian Ocean. After our glorious day of exploring we’ll check into our accommodation for the night at Jurien Bay Motel. Tonight enjoy dinner with wine at a local restaurant.

The delightful owners will take us on a wildflower tour to witness an abundance of colour as wildflowers bloom spectacularly during wildflower season. One fifth of the property has been left untouched, and contains some of the greatest botanical diversity in the world. The native vegetation area contains many rare flora. Afterwards, we’ll transfer to Geraldton to check into our accommodation for the night at the ibis Hotel and enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the local area. Tonight enjoy dinner with wine at a local restaurant.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 2 hours 30 minutes transfer from Geraldton to Nature’s Window, Kalbarri. Afternoon: 30 minutes transfer from Nature’s Window to accommodation in Kalbarri.

TERRAIN: Nature’s Window Loop – A challenging but spectacular walk over both rocky and sandy terrain. Z Bend Lookout – moderately easy walk from the carpark.
WALK ITINERARY: The Loop Trail highlights the erosive power of the Murchison River which has carved magnificent gorges to reveal the red and white banded rock. This trail follows the edge of the cliff, with magnificent views of the river below, before working its way down to the river bank. The trail continues along the river with sandy beaches, river gums and the possibility of swimming. The trail climbs out of the gorge towards the end, back up to Nature’s Window, a wind-eroded opening in the layered sandstone that frames a view of the river.. The geology of the area is fascinating. The thinly bedded, red and white banded rocks through most of the river gorge were deposited millions of years ago on tidal flats. Rippled surfaces can be seen around Nature’s Window. The ripples were formed during ancient times by waves moving over tidal flats in a shallow sea. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a lunch with a view at the Skywalk Kiosk. Time permitting we will walk to Z Bend Lookout before making our way to our accommodation for the next 2 nights at Kalbarri Edge Resort. Tonight enjoy dinner with wine at the resort.

WALK ITINERARY: Another day of strapping on your boots and heading out to explore Kalbarri. The first walk of today, The Bigurda Trail, named from the local language Nanda for a small kangaroo, starts at Eagle Gorge and follows the coast to the Natural Bridge. It is a sandy trail for most of its length but once you arrive at Island Rock Lookout it changes to a mix red paved path and boardwalk. There is the chance to spot dolphins and whales from clifftops plus there are colourful wildflowers during winter and spring. At the end of the trail we’ll explore some coastal areas closer to town including a 3km loop walk around Mushroom Rock and Rainbow Valley before heading back to our accommodation. Tonight enjoy dinner with wine at the resort.
