Stay in beautiful heritage-listed accommodation at Bungaree Station, a historic country retreat. The ultimate combination of walking, food and wine!
No heavy packs to carry
We invented the phrase “Pack Free Walking Experiences” and it’s what we do best. We ensure our guests don’t undertake walks where carrying the burden of a heavy pack is necessary. Our walks are designed to be carefree and enjoyable yet still challenging . Walk with only a small day pack so you can soak up the scenery along the way, carrying as little as your camera, lunch and water each day.
Located in the picturesque Clare Valley, South Australia
Spend two nights in the Clare Valley wine region at Bungaree Station. Established in 1841, Bungaree offers an authentic experience in the picturesque Clare Valley.
Guests will stay in beautiful heritage-listed buildings that have been converted into accommodation, blending historic character with modern convenience. The buildings are self contained, ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with kitchen, bathroom (some en-suite) and sitting room. These buildings have both reverse cycle air conditioning and wood fires. Please note that while guests may have their own bedroom or twinshare bedrooms, they are likely to be sharing facilities (e.g bathroom, sitting room) with other members of their group staying in the same building.
Winery Lunch on Day 2
After our morning walk we’ll enjoy a long lunch and wine tasting at the Skillogalee vineyard restaurant set amongst wooded hills in the heart of the picturesque Sevenhill subregion, part of South Australia’s world-renowned Clare Valley and one of Australia’s oldest wine regions.
Established in 1970, the family-owned vineyards and winery have been releasing award-winning hand-crafted wines for over 50 years. In addition to being a highly-regarded regional wine producer, the historic cellar door and restaurant will definitely tempt your tastebuds featuring local and seasonal produce.
Degustation Dinner or a la carte menu
Enjoy a celebratory degustation dinner at The Watervale Hotel on the last night where we’ll enjoy a variety of different dishes paired with wine to compliment the food.
The Watervale Hotel is passionate about both fresh local produce and Clare Valley wines and aims to showcase the diversity of the region.
Their menu is based on what their own organic Penobscot Farm has in season.

We are very proud of our talented team of guides. We call them our CEOs – Chief Experience Officers and it’s their job to ensure your tour exceeds your expectations.
They have a great knack of bringing the group together so that everyone will feel like great friends by the end of the walk. Our guides have a wealth of knowledge and expertise ensuring your tour is relaxing, fun and informative and always safe.
Maximum of 16 guests
We ensure our groups sizes are small and intimate with a maximum of 16 guests per trip, we find this delivers a more personalised service, the perfect social environment and has less impact on the environment.
