Beyond the icons of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge is an amazing city complete with spectacular beaches and coastline, trendy cafes and shopping areas, a beautiful harbour which stretches as far as the eye can see and a myriad of wonderful National Parks.
This personalised tour is conducted by private vehicle with a maximum of 6 guests. The tour is aimed at spending the day as a local Sydneysider, visiting the areas that locals hang out, in fact you’ll feel like you are spending the day with a close friend who is showing off the city they love. If you have a special request or interest or guide will be happy to include this in the day’s itinerary.
Meet your guide at your CBD Hotel foyer and head to the edge of the beautiful Botanical Gardens for a short morning stroll along the foreshore. At lunchtime this place is buzzing with the cities office workers out for a lunchtime jog along the harbour pathway and no wonder, the views of the harbour are sensational from this vantage point.
We head through the harbourside village of Woolloomooloo. The old 400 metre long Finger wharf of this area have been transformed in recent years with modern and chic restaurants and apartments, attracting locals and celebrities alike (Russell Crowe owns a $14 million penthouse in this complex). Our route takes us through the night time hub of Kings Cross, and harbourside suburb of Rose Bay a popular launch spot for sailing on weekends. Admire the amazing houses of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs Elite as we travel on to Watsons Bay. Enjoy time to grab an ice cream, enjoy an Aussie beer in the local pub or enjoy a guided walk with your guide along the coast line path for fantastic views of South Head.
From here we travel to Bondi and enjoy a fabulous lunch at the famous Icebergs. Enjoy a wonderful seafood platter as you soak up the stunning views over Bondi Beach. We return to the city enroute via Centennial Park and Paddington.

Gynes picked us up in a very comfortable land cruiser. As a Sydneysider himself, he was extremely knowledgeable about the local area and the history. After a stop in the botanical gardens, we spent most of the morning driving up the coastline to Bondi discovering beautiful little coves and beaches. Gynes was full of interesting information and happy to stop whenever we wanted. Lunch was at the amazing Iceberg Club at Bondi where we had a seafood platter fit for a king. Finally we drove the rest of the way to Coogee where Gynes (knowing it was our honeymoon) had taken it upon himself to bring along a bottle of fizz and let us drink it while overlooking the wild sea.
Thanks Mark for a truly excellent day out! After a slight timing mix up, Mark more than made up for it with a wonderful day and becoming friends by the time he eventually left. We were treated to a personal tour just us as a family, and Mark took us everywhere in Sydney - nothing was too much trouble and he booked the best seats in the house at Bondi Icebergs! Hope to see you again soon, and come & visit us in the UK when you are over.
Friendly and experience tour guides. They try their best to accommodate the needs of each tourist. I would recommend any solo travellers to join them. Value for money :)
