Queensland suffered from significant bushfires in October 2019. Some residents lost their homes and for many, they will also lose their livelihood relying heavily on tourism as their main source of income. At Life’s An Adventure we believe it is important to support this community in their hour of need, by continuing to run our tours here. We have created a new itinerary showcasing a range of walks and experiences in the Scenic Rim area that have not been affected. Our accommodation has NOT been impacted by the fires, so that part of our journey is unchanged. There is still much beauty and wildlife remaining in this area to be enjoyed and we would love to show this to our guests.
The Scenic Rim is a chain of forested mountain ranges forming an expansive quarter circle ridge, that is part of the Great Dividing Range. The imposing rim of mountain ranges date back millions of years when they were created by volcanic activity. This activity caused the regions lush flora and fauna to flourish and provided fertile grounds for rainforests to prosper. The region boasts 6 National Parks with 4 of these National Parks declared World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest of Australia areas. This 3-day pack free walk explores three of the most spectacular locations of the Scenic Rim including Main Range National Park, Moogereh Peaks National Park and the impressive Mount Barney. Exploring breathtaking mountain ridges, lush rainforests and ancient volcanic plateaus known for their breathtaking scenery this will be an unforgettable walking experience.
The Scenic Rim is a vast area covering over four thousand square kilometres and featuring six National Parks. On this 3-day pack-free walk, you will explore escarpments, ridges and forests across ancient volcanic plateaus of the Great Dividing Range of the most spectacular areas of the Scenic Rim.
