Day 1: Arrival Day Port Douglas
Daintree Rainforest & Mossman Gorge Walk

Getting There: Guests will need to organise their own flights to Cairns.

Itinerary: Arrive at Cairns Airport any time during the day. Let us know your arrival time and we will organise a shuttle to take you directly to Port Douglas (a 1 hour scenic drive). Our accommodation is at the wonderful Sheraton Mirage Resort ideally located on the beachfront. Relax for the remainder of the day soaking up this idyllic atmosphere and enjoy a swim in one of the magnificent swimming pools. Tonight join us in the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail and welcome brief before enjoying an Italian-style dinner in the resort’s restaurant ‘The Deck”. Enjoy a delicious dinner featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients, paired with a selection of wines.

Day 2: Mossman Gorge & Wildlife & Crocodile Cruise
Daintree Rainforest & Mossman Gorge Walk

Walk grade: Both walks are graded as easy to moderate.

Terrain: 4.4kms, 3 hours. The paths are mostly natural rainforest trails with some rocky and root-covered sections. There are boardwalks in parts, but some areas may be slightly uneven or slippery after rain.

Itinerary: Begin your adventure with a delicious breakfast at the Sheraton Mirage, setting the tone for a day of discovery. From here we head north to the iconic Mossman Gorge, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the serene rainforest and crystal-clear waters. Walk through the beautiful rainforest, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of this lush, ancient environment. We continue our journey north before embarking on a captivating Wildlife & Crocodile Cruise. Glide through the tranquil rivers of the Daintree, keeping a lookout for crocodiles and a variety of native wildlife in their natural habitat. Afterwards we transfer to our accommodation for the night at the Heritage Lodge in the Daintree, where you can unwind in the heart of the rainforest. The lodge is nestled within the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage site, allowing you to wake up surrounded by lush greenery, the sounds of native wildlife, for an authentic rainforest experience. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge, savouring the flavours of the region while surrounded by the sounds and sights of the Daintree wilderness.

Day 3: Exclusive access to Daintree Rainforest Walk region
Daintree Rainforest & Mossman Gorge Walk

Walk Grade: Both walks are graded as easy to moderate.

Terrain: 5,5 km, 3-4 hours. Both walks feature well-maintained trails through lush rainforests, with sections of boardwalks and some natural paths that may have roots and uneven surfaces. There may be slight inclines and some slippery areas, particularly after rain.

Itinerary: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the Heritage Lodge, nestled in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, surrounded by the sounds of nature. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the starting point of today’s walking trail through ancient landscapes, this walk is not open to the public making it a magic place to visit away from the main tourist areas. The Rainforest trail offers an opportunity to connect with the lush surroundings, as you wander through towering trees and vibrant foliage, discovering the rich biodiversity of the area. After the walk, you’ll return to the Heritage Lodge for a relaxing lunch, enjoying the peaceful ambience of your rainforest retreat. In the afternoon, head to the start of the second tranquil walk which takes you deeper into the rainforest, offering more chances to observe native plants and wildlife in their natural habitat. Our day concludes back at the Heritage Lodge, where you can unwind before enjoying a delicious dinner surrounded by the beauty of the rainforest. It’s a perfect day of discovery, relaxation, and immersion in one of the world’s most extraordinary ecosystems.

Day 4: Daintree Falls & Tropical Fruit Tasting
Daintree Rainforest & Mossman Gorge Walk

Walk Grade: This walk is rated as easy to moderate. 2 hours

Terrain: The walk to the falls includes natural trails with rocky and uneven sections. There are gentle inclines, and the area near the falls can be slippery, especially around the water. The swimming area is calm but also has slippery rocks, so caution is needed. It’s an easy to moderate walk, suitable for most.

Itinerary: Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the Heritage Lodge, where the tranquil sounds of the rainforest create the perfect start to your adventure. After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to a trail accessible exclusively to our tour, where it’s likely you won’t encounter another soul—offering a rare chance to immerse yourself in the serenity of this untouched rainforest. This scenic walk takes you deep into the heart of the lush rainforest, leading to a secluded waterfall. Here, you can choose to enjoy a leisurely stroll or dive into the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim, all while surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.  Next, you’ll head to a hidden gem for lunch—a charming spot not open to the public. Relish a delicious meal, complemented by a tropical fruit-tasting experience. Savour the vibrant flavours of locally grown produce as you uncover the stories behind these regional specialties. In the afternoon, sit back and enjoy the scenic drive back to Cairns, soaking in the stunning tropical landscapes along the way. You’ll return to Cairns at approximately 5:00 pm, with memories of a truly unique day immersed in the wonders of Far North Queensland.
