Is it the salty sea air, endless coastal views, sand between your toes or simply the chance to breathe in and breathe out? Whatever the reason, there’s something wonderfully restorative about walking beside the ocean.

Three Capes guided walk in Tasmania

Australia’s vast coastline is home to some of the world’s most spectacular coastal walks, and Life’s An Adventure has curated four unforgettable pack-free guided walking holidays that showcase the best of them.

First up is our three-day Three Capes pack-free guided walk on Tasmania’s dramatic Tasman Peninsula. This iconic coastal adventure showcases the towering dolerite cliffs of Cape Raoul, Cape Hauy and Cape Pillar, including some of Australia’s highest sea cliffs.

A group of people in red jackets are on a yellow and white tour boat on calm water off the coast of Tasmania. A dolphin is leaping beside the boat under a cloudy sky. The boat's side reads "Explore the edge" and "Albatros," perfect for guided walking tours.

It’s a wild masterpiece sculpted by wind and waves, with rugged shores plunging towards the Southern Ocean, while offshore islands, sea stacks and rocky headlands create a landscape that feels remote, timeless and wonderfully untamed.

To make the experience even more memorable, choose between a breathtaking helicopter flight over the landscape or a thrilling wilderness cruise around Cape Pillar.

Prefer brilliant white beaches, turquoise water and rugged granite boulders splashed with orange lichen? Our three-day Bay of Fires pack-free guided walk is all about coastal bliss. It’s a photographer’s dream, with picture-perfect scenery around every corner.

A serene sunset over a lake, vibrant orange and blue hues reflecting in the water, echoes the peacefulness of Tasmanian Walking Holidays. Silhouetted branches stretch from the left, enhancing depth to this tranquil scene as fluffy clouds dramatize the sky.

Over in WA, our four-day Cape to Cape pack-free guided walk celebrates everything coastal. The 135km track runs from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin, and our itinerary focuses on the finest sections, from beaches and granite cliffs to woodlands, Sugar Loaf Rock and Yallingup.
