Spreading Festive Cheer: Our Community Christmas Contribution

This festive season, Life’s an Adventure is thrilled to support the One Hamper Appeal, an initiative by One Meal to deliver 5,000 hampers to families in need.

Our team came together to pack boxes filled with essentials like pantry staples, festive treats, and everyday items to help make Christmas a little brighter for those doing it tough.

It was a wonderful effort from everyone in the office, and we’re proud to give back to our community. Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a joyful festive season!

One Meal – It Makes a Difference is a not-for-profit, community organisation that helps to feed, clothe and support the homeless, disenfranchised, vulnerable and at-risk members of our local communities.

One Meal was founded in December 2014 when a group of friends came together with the simple yet powerful goal of giving back to the community. Their initial act of kindness was a one-off street service at Green Park in Sydney, where they provided “One Meal” to people in need during the Christmas season. The response was so overwhelming and heartwarming that a month later, they returned to continue their mission, and from there, the initiative blossomed into something much greater. It was at this point that One Meal – It Makes a Difference was born.

What began as a small, heartfelt gesture quickly grew into an ongoing project that now serves as a beacon of hope and support for those facing hardship. Through the efforts of volunteers and community support, One Meal has become a vital resource, offering meals, companionship, and a sense of dignity to people experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, or other struggles. With each meal served, One Meal continues to make a tangible difference in the lives of many, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can create lasting, positive change.

One Meal now provides hundreds of meals to people in need every week, continuing to grow and expand its reach across the community. Through regular weekly community meals, the organisation serves up delicious, hot dinners to over 500 patrons throughout Sydney, including areas such as Blacktown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Sydney City, Northern Beaches, and Sutherland Shire.

Each meal is carefully prepared and served with compassion, offering not just food but also a sense of community and connection to those who may be struggling. The initiative is a lifeline for many, providing nourishment and support in areas where food insecurity is prevalent. With the continued generosity of volunteers and donations, One Meal is able to reach even more individuals each week, ensuring that no one in these communities has to go without a warm meal. Through its efforts, One Meal truly embodies the spirit of giving and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
