See one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world

Here at Life’s An Adventure we don’t do things in halves. We love to go the Whole Hog!

Case-in-point our 5-day Maria Island & Freycinet Ultimate pack-free guided walk. Instead of catching the bus and then the ferry to Maria Island you hop on a scenic flight that takes you from Hobart over one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world!

Scenic Flight to Maria Island from Hobart Tasmania as part of the walking holiday itinerary.

And once you’re on gorgeous Maria Island (pron: Mariah – as in Carey) you get to walk one of the best day walks in Australia! This scenic walk leads you through sweeping grasslands, open forests, and towering woodlands, eventually reaching the rocky slopes near the summit.

A person in a blue jacket and backpack stands on a grassy cliff edge, embracing the spirit of "Life's an Adventure" while overlooking the ocean. The sun casts a warm glow on the rocky cliffside, with trees and hills visible under a clear sky, perfect for walking tours.

The true highlight lies at the top – Bishop and Clerk – where striking dolerite columns rise dramatically into the sky. Their name comes from their resemblance to a bishop in a mitre followed by a clergyman. On a clear day, the summit rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views stretching all the way to your next destination: the stunning Freycinet Peninsula.

You’ll spend three evenings at the gorgeous Freycinet Lodge. Situated inside the Freycinet National Park, this award-winning eco-lodge has sweeping views over Great Oyster Bay.

After a day’s walk, relax in the lounge area and enjoy a drink at the bar (own expense), before joining the group for a delicious dinner in the waterfront Bay Restaurant, meals are cooked with local produce and served with Tasmanian wines.

Other wow-mazing experiences on this trip include a boat cruise to Cooks Beach and a heli-flight over Wineglass Bay and Hazards Mountain Range before landing at one of the East Coast local vineyards for a celebratory lunch with wine tasting. Cheers!
