Our Via Francigena tour showcases the best of Tuscany

Embark on a 7-day pack-free guided walk along the historic Via Francigena, winding through the heart of Tuscany — Italy’s most enchanting and iconic region.

A group of people, dressed in casual hiking attire, stand smiling on a tree-lined path surrounded by lush cypress trees. Embracing the spirit of "Life's an Adventure," one person takes a selfie capturing their joy on this sunny walking holiday.

This immersive journey offers the perfect combination of natural beauty, history, and culture as you explore charming hilltop villages, picturesque landscapes, and some of Tuscany’s most beloved towns. A standout highlight of this walk is the time spent in Siena — one of our all-time favourite destinations.

Aerial view of Siena, Italy, where the historic Piazza del Campo's distinctive shell shape meets the journey of Tuscany's Via Francigena. The Torre del Mangia tower stands prominently amid reddish-brown rooftops and lush green hills under a clear sky.

Siena, nestled among rolling hills and vineyards, is a stunning medieval city that feels frozen in time. Once a formidable rival to Florence, Siena flourished during the 13th and 14th centuries, leaving behind a rich legacy of art, architecture, and tradition.

A large, ornate cathedral with Gothic architecture stands against a cloudy sky—a perfect stop for those on walking holidays. Many people gather in the square in front. The building features intricate carvings, tall spires, and a prominent circular window, inviting you to explore life's adventures.

At its heart lies the breathtaking Piazza del Campo, famous for hosting the Palio, a dramatic bareback horse race that brings the entire city to life twice each summer. Surrounding the square are Gothic architectural masterpieces such as the Palazzo Pubblico, with its historic frescoes, and the striking Siena Cathedral, an artistic wonder featuring marble inlay, vivid mosaics, and works by great masters like Donatello and Michelangelo.

A picturesque stone archway invites you to a scenic view of rolling hills under a clear blue sky, perfect for walking holidays. The sun casts warm light on the rustic cobblestone path, with a lone streetlamp visible in the distance, reminding you that life's an adventure waiting to unfold.

As you wander Siena’s narrow cobbled streets, admire the preserved city walls, terracotta rooftops, and vibrant atmosphere that captures the true essence of Tuscany. Each corner reveals a story, a slice of history, or a stunning view over the countryside.

Two people in sun hats, perhaps on one of the engaging walking tours, raise wine glasses while standing in a vineyard. They face a rustic building in the distance, surrounded by green vines under a partially cloudy sky.

After a day of cultural exploration, relax in comfort at our carefully selected boutique hotel, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner crafted from fresh local ingredients. Paired with exceptional Italian wines, it’s the perfect way to unwind and reflect on your journey so far.
This is more than a walk — it’s a taste of authentic Italy at its finest. Beautiful landscapes, historic wonders and unforgettable flavours await. Bellissimo!

A man and a woman sit at an outdoor table clinking wine glasses, taking a break from their walking tour. The table is set with breadsticks, olives, and tomatoes. Behind them are lush vineyards under a clear blue sky. They seem to be enjoying a pleasant moment together.
