Our Tarkine tour is getting an itinerary update
From January 2024 our 4-day Tarkine Wilderness pack-free guided walk will have an updated itinerary.
You’ll still experience the classic charm of this gorgeous part of the Apple Isle but the tour will include an arrival day accommodation in Smithton on day 1 allowing more time to explore the Tarkine on day 2.
There are few places left that can be truly described as wild and untouched, but the remote Tarkine is one of these places.
This vast 447,000-hectare wilderness area is renowned for its remote waterfalls, stunning myrtle rainforests, pristine rivers, dramatic mountain tops and wild coastline.
The Tarkine’s size, naturalness and habitat diversity make it an outstanding refuge for native mammals such as the Tasmanian Devil as well as more than 130 different species of birds.
It is home to more than 60 rare, threatened and endangered species and is Australia’s largest tract of temperate rainforest.
This fantastic 4-day pack-free guided walk is for our guests who want to experience the remote Tarkine Wilderness, exploring three regions; the “Meredith Range” region, the ‘Heart of the Tarkine’ region, and ‘Corinna and Wild Coast’, so that you’ll experience all the Tarkine’s varied landscapes including rainforests, mountains and wild coast.
Spot Special savings of up to $500 per couple or $250 per person are available on specific 2024 departures when you book and pay in full at time of booking.
