Our new Maria Island & Freycinet Walk is for the birds!

We love showcasing our walks from the land, the sea and the air, and on our new 5-day Maria Island & Freycinet Ultimate pack-free guided walk you get all three including TWO amazing scenic flights!

A red helicopter flies over a stunning crescent-shaped bay with turquoise waters near the scenic Maria Island Walk, surrounded by lush green hills and rocky mountains. Several small boats are anchored near the sandy beach, with clear blue skies above.

You’ll start off with a 30min flight from Hobart to Maria Island where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the east coast, passing the striking and rugged coastline and dramatic Marion Bay before landing on the island’s private airstrip.

From there it’s a lovely boat ride back to the mainland where you should score some great views of the Freycinet Peninsula, then it’s a quick bus ride to the iconic Freycinet Lodge where we’ll stay for the next three nights.

That evening, like every evening, you’ll enjoy a superb dinner featuring local Tassie produce, perfectly matched with local boutique wines.

Anyway don’t listen to us hear what one of our guests said about the trip:

“Guides Joel and Dan were outstanding. They were always helpful, knowledgeable, patient and very caring and well organised.

Joel paced the stages of the walk brilliantly so no one was unduly extended physically. His knowledge of the sites was astounding along with the history of the indigenous people.”

A group of people from "Life's An Adventure Walking Tours" pose on a wooden boardwalk with a stunning coastal backdrop. The scene boasts a stretch of sandy beach flanked by turquoise ocean and a calm bay, with rolling hills in the distance under a partly cloudy sky.

“This was my first guided walk and surpassed my expectations. I was so impressed by the attention to detail and professionalism of the guides that created a beautiful experience. I will definitely go on another guided walk with Life’s an Adventure.” – Tim Wilson
