This region is renowned as a true bird lover’s paradise, boasting an impressive diversity of over 230 bird species. Among the highlights are rare and captivating birds such as the elusive Albert’s lyrebird, known for its remarkable mimicking abilities, and the brilliantly coloured regent bowerbird, a visual standout in the forest canopy. Whether you’re an avid birdwatcher or simply someone who appreciates nature’s wonders, you’ll have countless opportunities to spot and photograph these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. You’ll be ticking these fascinating feathered fellows off your birdwatching guidebook in no time: purple swamphen, rainbow lorikeet, silver gull, sulphur-crested cockatoo, silvereye, grey butcherbird, laughing kookaburra, little corella, magpie-lark, masked lapwing, superb fairywren, and the black-faced cuckoo-shrike.
