On our Le Puy Camino tour you’ll stay in the grandest of French chateaus
At Life’s An Adventure, we pride ourselves on offering the best accommodation on all of our pack-free guided walks, but for the 8-day French Le Puy Camino tour, we’ve truly outdone ourselves. The accommodation on this trip is NEXT LEVEL!
You’ll stay not at one, not two, but THREE stunning chateaus – they’re basically castles! And the grandest of them all is Chateau Mercures, a 13th-century gem that will make you feel like royalty.
Chateau Mercures, perched above the famous Cahors vineyard, is a magnificent piece of history. Once the home of the Bishops of Cahors, it has been lovingly transformed into a luxurious hotel with elegant décor and a collection of exquisite antiques. The property sits in lush, expansive gardens, and guests can unwind by the outdoor swimming pool, soaking in the beautiful surroundings.
Each room is a perfect blend of charm and comfort, featuring either king or twin beds and modern en-suite bathrooms. You’ll wake up refreshed, ready to explore the picturesque landscapes of the Le Puy Camino.
At night, treat yourself to exceptional cuisine in the château’s restaurant. The resident chef prepares dishes that capture the essence of French gastronomy, complemented by a carefully curated selection of local wines, offering a dining experience you won’t forget.

The 8-day pack-free guided walking tour takes you on a journey through the breathtaking French Le Puy Camino. Starting from the medieval town of Le Puy, the route winds its way to St Jean Pied De Port in the Pyrenees, passing through rolling hills, charming villages, and stunning landscapes. It’s not just a walk; it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the history, culture, and natural beauty of one of the most scenic Camino routes.
This adventure is the perfect blend of outdoor exploration, cultural enrichment, and luxurious accommodation – a trip you’ll treasure forever especially knowing you’re staying in three chateaus!
