Let’s show you why WA’s Cape to Cape Track has made another must-walk list
AllTrails, an online platform devoted to helping outdoor enthusiasts discover and explore walking trails, has revealed its Travel-Worthy Trails list for 2026, with Western Australia’s Cape to Cape Track earning the distinction of being the only Australian entry.
“We searched the world using genuine experiences from AllTrails members and insights from our local partners to identify these remarkable destinations,” said Carly Smith, Chief Marketing Officer at AllTrails.
“These once-in-a-lifetime places are designed to inspire people to plan a journey or simply step outside and explore closer to home.”
Stretching 135km from Cape Naturaliste in the north to Cape Leeuwin in the south, the Cape to Cape Track showcases some of Australia’s most spectacular coastal scenery.
Now, if you don’t want to walk the whole thing we have great news. Our thoughtfully curated 4-day itinerary highlights the finest sections of the trail, enabling walkers to experience a diverse range of landscapes. From white sandy beaches and rugged granite cliffs to tranquil woodlands and iconic landmarks such as Sugar Loaf Rock and the charming hamlet of Yallingup, each day offers something memorable.
This tour offers far more than walking alone. It combines breathtaking coastal views with indulgent local food and wine, as well as unforgettable experiences, including an awe-inspiring scenic helicopter flight along the dramatic coastline.
One of the highlights is day three. After a relaxed breakfast, you transfer to Moses Rock to begin the day’s walk towards Gracetown. Along the way, take in sweeping coastal panoramas from cliff-top lookouts and admire the striking granite-gneiss formations of Wilyabrup. The trail passes through low heathland and across the granite headland known as Whaleback before continuing through an enchanting stretch dotted with lichen-covered rocks and, in spring, clusters of delicate pink fairy orchids.
After the walk, you’ll transfer to your accommodation to enjoy a superb dinner paired with local Margaret River wines, the perfect way to end a rewarding day on the trail.
