Lonely Planet has named its top destinations to visit in 2024, with one Australian location making the list – Kangaroo Island and we can show you what all the fuss is about!

The travel publisher named the South Australian island — also known as Karta Pintingga — as the world’s second-best region to travel to.

Kangaroo Island (KI) is Australia’s third-biggest island and is located 13km off the coast of South Australia.

Our 5-day pack-free guided walk has been designed so you can experience a range of landscapes of striking coastal rock formations and vast wilderness areas, savour sensational local produce and wines, and indulge in exceptional accommodation.

Over a third of the island is protected by National Parks and Conservation areas, creating a sanctuary abundant with native wildlife from sea lions and penguins, to striking birdlife and the endemic KI kangaroos.
