Kangaroo Island named one of the world’s top regions to visit
Lonely Planet has named its top destinations to visit in 2024, with one Australian location making the list – Kangaroo Island and we can show you what all the fuss is about!
The travel publisher named the South Australian island — also known as Karta Pintingga — as the world’s second-best region to travel to.
Kangaroo Island (KI) is Australia’s third-biggest island and is located 13km off the coast of South Australia.
Our 5-day pack-free guided walk has been designed so you can experience a range of landscapes of striking coastal rock formations and vast wilderness areas, savour sensational local produce and wines, and indulge in exceptional accommodation.
Over a third of the island is protected by National Parks and Conservation areas, creating a sanctuary abundant with native wildlife from sea lions and penguins, to striking birdlife and the endemic KI kangaroos.
You’ll spend all four nights at the stunning Snellings View.
Architecturally designed to capture natural light while maximising privacy from its hilltop vantage point, Snellings View comprises two beautifully appointed and self-contained wings connected by a communal-style area.
On a Life’s An Adventure tour, we always include a ‘Wow Factor’ to ensure your journey is truly inspirational and unique.
During your stay, we will take a walk with a local National Parks Ranger through Seal Bay Conservation Area where we will encounter the local Australian sea-Lion colony, and learn about these majestic creatures.
On our walk you will indulge in sensational high-quality local produce that makes this region unique.
Dinners will be spent relaxing in the Lodge, enjoying wonderful meals matched with local South Australian wines.
