It’s light, camera and coastal action on the Bibbulmun Track!
For a sheer IMAX panoramic viewing experience, our five-day Bibbulmun Track pack-free guided walk unfolds like a Christopher Nolan film – dramatic, immersive and spectacularly cinematic.
Only instead of special effects, CGI and a Hollywood-sized production budget, the scenery is entirely real!
The trail delivers an extraordinary variety of landscapes, moving through towering karri forests, peaceful woodlands and heathlands bursting with wildflowers. Every section has its own visual character, but it’s the coastal landscapes where the Bibbulmun really deserves the big screen.
Here, the track winds along rugged cliffs, sweeps across windswept beaches and skirts turquoise bays, with enormous ocean horizons stretching seemingly forever. Sunrise and sunset can transform the landscape from one scene to the next, while dolphins, seabirds and migrating whales may make perfectly timed cameo appearances offshore. Around every bend there’s another frame-worthy vista – the sort of scenery that makes you stop walking, reach for your camera and wonder whether someone has secretly been filming the whole thing.
But, like any good Nolan production, there’s considerably more going on beneath the surface. This is not simply a walk from A to B. Along the way, there are vineyards to discover, local produce to savour and some seriously good food to enjoy. Because while spectacular scenery is wonderful, it tastes even better when accompanied by a glass of something local.
And then there’s the accommodation. After a day spent walking through some of Western Australia’s most extraordinary landscapes, you won’t be rolling into a basic campsite and wondering where you left your pillow. Instead, you’ll be treated more like one of Christopher Nolan’s Hollywood stars, with character-filled accommodation and very, very comfortable beds.
It’s the perfect combination: blockbuster scenery by day, outstanding food and comfortable accommodation by night. No heavy packs, no production hassles – just five days of cinematic landscapes, great company and one unforgettable starring role on the Bibbulmun Track.
