what to bring
|
We suggest bringing a backpack to carry all your personal items. You may like to bring a camera to capture the amazing scenery you'll experience along the way. To ensure you keep well hydrated, please bring at least 1.5 litres of drinking water (on extremely hot days double this amount). We also recommend a hat and sunscreen and if you want to enjoy the beach, bring your swimming costume and a towel. |
what to wear
|
-
Small lite weight back pack large enough to contain Single air bed (li-lo), plugs and puncture repair kit. Rubberised/canvas ones are best as plastic ones puncture easily. Test it before coming. The lilos will be inflated when we reach the river. Large inner tubes can be used but these will need to be inflated before getting to Mount Wilson and are also more cumbersome to handle while walking and in the water.
- Sand Shoes/Joggers and good (woollen) socks - these will get wet.
- Wet/Surf suit or woollen jumper next to skin. The water will be cold, even in the middle of summer.
- Woollen hat, beanie or balaclava if you have one as it is helpful to reduce heat loss if cold.
- Change of clothes.
- A good supply of common sense
|
