fitness level
This paddle is suitable for all persons of reasonable fitness suitable for those who have kayaked before, not suitbale for first-timers. Full Day Paddle - 6 hours duration.
can beginners do this trip
Yes we welcome beginners. Before each paddle we will provide comprehensive kayaking tuition on correct techniques and safety to ensure your experience is a comfortable and enjoyable one. As we paddle in double kayaks we will try and match beginners with stronger paddlers if they are having difficulty, there will be ample stops to rest and have a break. We recommend first time paddlers to book one of our half day tours of 3 hours duration or complete a kayaking skills class before attempting full day or overnight trips. |
I'm worried about capsizing
Rest easy. We use state-of-the art Dagger Sea Kayaks. These are enclosed kayaks - not the "sit on top" variety, as such they are extremely stable and easy to manoeuvre. The chances of a capsizing these kayaks are very remote and they are virtually unsinkable due to their airtight compartments. You'll also be wearing a PFD (life-vest at all times).
