I have always wanted to do this walk, so it was great to turn up at the start and know everything was taken care of by Life's An Adventu
| 3 day six foot track guided walk itinerary Join us on a guided walk of the famous Six Foot Track from the Blue Mountains to Jenolan Caves. Our tours run in both directions Katoomba to Jenolan Caves or reverse. The itinerary below outlines the forward direction. (see notes at bottom about direction) Day 1: We start our walk near the Explorer Tree and follow the main track down to the clifftop lookout above the gorge of Nellies Glen from here you look down the Megalong Creek Valley in the direction you will be walking. We stop for lunch in a picturesque location. We cross the Bowtells Swing Suspension bridge to our campsite on the beautiful Coxs River - bring your swimmers as this is a great place to take a dip and revitalise. Relax when you arrive yor campsite will be set up and ready for you - with your overnight bag transported from the start of the walk to the camp. Day 2: A challenging morning awaits with 3kms of steep track rising over 400 metres climbing the slope from little river to the ridge of Black Range. We stop for lunch is a pretty spot before continuing walk. The walk follows the fire trail along Black Range passing through wooded country. We overnight at Black range campsite. Day 3: We walk along the steep fire trail down Binoomera Ridge passing Carlotta Arch before arriving at Jenolan Caves. Free time is available to explore these amazing caves (bring additional money if you wish to view the caves entrance fees range from $25 to $38 depending on which caves you visit). Time for you to grab some lunch(at own expense) before heading home. Two transfers are offered - one at approximately 11am for those not wanting to visit the caves and one at 2pm. (it is approximately an hour drive back to Katoomba. Please note we run this walk in both directions Katoomba to Jenolan Caves and Jenolan Caves to Katoomba - the decision on which direction each tour will run, will be made at our discretion and advised prior to your departure.
