2 Day Six Foot Track Mountain Biking Adventure
This two day tour travels from Black Range near Jenolan Caves along the famous and historic Six Foot Track to the Megalong Valley. Enjoy spectacular view of the Blue Mountains escarpment and experience spectacular mountain ranges and panoramas of richly-forested valleys. Spend the night around the campfire at the rustic Six Foot Track Eco Lodge. Your overnight bags will be transported to the lodge leaving you free to ride with a small day pack. A great escape and a great adventure.

Deluxe Adult includes bike hire: $449 per person. Standard Adult (bring your own bike).... $399 per person. Prices are per person in Australian dollars and include GST. Payments can be made by credit card payment or direct deposit. A 2% merchant fee applies to credit card payments. |

| Fitness level: |
This is a 2 day ride. Day one is all down hill with some steep sections to negotiate. Whilst day 2 has several property fences with ladders where you will need to hike your bike. A good level of fitness is required with previous experience in bike riding required. |

| Meeting Point: |
Meet at 10.30am in the Megalong Valley. Meet at the gates near the Six Foot Track, on Megalong Road (where the Six Foot Track crosses Megalong Valley Road (about 500m past Old Ford Reserve).
Transfers: Transfers can be organised from Sydney for $40 extra per person.
The Megalong Valley is not on a train line, if you intend on catching public transport please email us and we will organise transfers with you from the station to the start of the ride. Email: enquiries@lifesanadventure.com.au

| What to bring: |
You are allowed one small to average size overnight pack / bag (no suitcases), no loose items allowed all items must be enclosed within your overnight bag
Your Overnight Pack should include:
Clothes:
- Full weather gear needed as climate is variable
- We suggest wearing layers when you are riding that you can remove or add
as you warm up or cool down.
- Riding clothes suitable to weather: Long sleeves, trousers, shorts, t'shirts, or
shirts Closed toe, sturdy footwear; worn at all times.
- Thermal underwear, jumper and warm gear for night, scarf, beanie, gloves etc
if winter, autumn or spring departures
- 1 pairs of good socks a pair of shoes to change into at night underwear
Other Items:
- insect repellent
- personal toiletries, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush or comb
- towel
- swimmers / bathers (if you wish to swim in the river)
Your Day pack should include:
- All participants must carry and/or wear the following personal equipment:
- Small backpack designed for riding; suitable for the anticipated duration and
loads
- bandaids
- camera
- hat
- Personal emergency medication e.g. Ventolin
- Rain jacket suitable to the conditions; preferably made of a waterproof and
breathable fabric. Waterproof pants optional.
- A lightweight torch (or headtorch) with spare batteries and globe
- sun glasses
- sun screen
- Water bladder or container with two litres of water

| Itinerary: |
Day 1: Meet at Megalong Valley - where you will be transferred by our vehicle to the start. We begin our ride near Jenolan Caves and ride along the fire trail of Black Range passing through wooded country. Today's riding will be mainly down hill with some steep sections, we will also explore all the side tracks to awesome lookouts. We finish our day with a 400 metre fun downhill ride to Coxs River and our overnight accommodation at the rustic Six Foot Track lodge.
Day 2: We depart Coxs River (carrying our bikes over the river) and ride through the Megalong Valley enjoying spectacular views of the Blue Mountain's escarpment. We continue on to Megalong Historic Village, exploring the six foot track, crossing rivers and exploring side tracks. The Six Foot Track crosses some cattle properties, step ladders have been installed for Six Foot Track walkers, you will be required to hike a bike on these sections over the steps. Our ride finishes with a delicious lunch in the Megalong Valley, finishing at 2.00pm. |
