mt york historic tracks mountain biking
Between 1815 and 1830, three routes were constructed from the western escarpment of the Blue Mountains into Hartley Vale. Each was an attempt to find the easiest way from the high plateau to the new rich country beyond the mountain barrier. These three routes are now walking tracks, combining colonial history with fine views. This ride takes you from Mt Victoria to Mt York down Coxs Road including an exhilarating descent down to the Hartley Valley. What a day, what an adventure!
