If you would like to learn how to mountain bike or improve your skills and become a better mountain biker then these Sydney classes are perfect for you. We run a selection of mountain bike skills clinic for different levels of riders including beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you want to learn the basic skills of mountain biking or improve existing ones we'll teach you techniques which will enable you to ride more confidently, efficiently, and tackle new terrain. .

Beginners clinic will cover:
- Bike set up and maintenance
- Body position
- Balance
- Gearing
- Braking
- Cornering
- Ascending and Descending
- Riding obstacles
- Roll downs/drops
- Short trail ride at the end of the day to put into practice what
you've learnt!
Intermediate to Advanced clinics will concentrate more on the technical aspects of mountain bike riding including:
- Steep technical descents
- Bike set up and rider positioning
- Bunny hops - lifting the rear wheel
- Faster drop-offs at speed
- Cornering techniques at speed
- Riding single track at speed
- Slow drop-offs up to half metre high
- Trackstands
- Combining technical obstacles

The 1 day skill clinic runs from 9am to 4pm. and is available on the following dates:
- Saturday 28th August 2010 (Beginners to Interrmediate Class)
- Saturday 18th September 2010 (Beginners to Intermediate Class)
- Saturday 9th October 2010 (Intermediate to Advanced)
- Saturday 13th November 2010 (Beginners to Intermediate Class)
- Saturday 4th December 2010 (Beginners to Intermediate Class)

Meet at Manly Dam Picnic area off Kings Street at 9am. Meeting point is near the Playground and toilet block.

1 Day Clinic..........$99 per person + $1.50 booking fee Please email us 2 days prior if you require a bike and helmet. Tickets must be purchased a minimum of 48 hours prior. Please include your mobile phone number when booking in case we need to contact you on the day.

Simply click on the link above and pre-pay by credit card. Full Payment is due at time of booking to secure your place. All bookings are subject to a $1.50 booking fee which is included in the below prices. Prices are per person in Australian dollars and include GST

cancellations
|
IMPORTANT: Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the start of an event. Bookings will not be transferred to another date if you do not show up or cancel on the day, as activities are fully catered.
Your booking will not be transferred to another date if it rains - transfers will only happen if Life's An Adventure cancel the event because of extreme weather conditions- in which case you will be notified by phone prior.

what to wear

Please wear comfortable and non restrictive clothing for riding (no jeans), wear a bike helmet and any protective clothing/accessories.

conditions of travel

- The Company reserves the right to alter the itinerary or cancel an activity as may be found necessary for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to strong winds, high seas, weather or traffic conditions, bushfires, road or track closures, operational conditions and requirements. Where an activity is cancelled prior to the departure date we will reschedule this activity to another date, it this is not acceptable, refund your monies in full. All additional expenses incurred as a result of any delays, cancellations or alterations will be the sole responsibility of the passenger.
- Minimum numbers are required to operate each activity. Where sufficient numbers cannot be achieved, the Company reserves the right to cancel a scheduled departure. The decision to operate the activity is usually made 1-2 days prior to the departure date.
- Any special passenger requirements must be notified to the Company at the time of booking. No passenger will be permitted to embark or continue on the tour while their mental or physical condition is, in the opinion of any representative of the Company, such as to render them incapable of caring for themselves, or whereby they become objectionable to other passengers, or they become a hazard to themselves or other passengers.
