This link in the chain of walks that make up the great North walk is regarded by some as the best section of the entire Great Northern Walk, which totals over 200 kms. Our first day we will leave Thornleigh Railway Station and desend into Berowra Creek Valley. We'll camp overnight under the stars at Galston Gorge and enjoy a delicious gourmet dinner with a glass of wine. Next day pass Rockfall rapids and travel up a steep assent to Berowra Station. Your overnight pack will be transported for you, requiring you to only carry your water, camera and raincoat each day. Hurry limited places available - this is a weekend adventure not to be missed.

Available for groups of 4 or more on a departure of your choice

the walk

Day one is a 12 km walk passing Blackfellows Head where we may find aboriginal carvings, we stop at the beautiful Galston Gorge campsite where we will have a a gourmet dinner, a glass of wine or beers.

Next day is medium grade and is longer day 13 km walk. You travel past Rockfall rapids, crosslands and finally at the end the day at Berowra where our walk concludes. (For those taking public transport - catch the train back to the car at Thornleigh or back home)

what to wear

Please wear comfortable lightweight clothes (no jeans).
We suggest wearing layers which you can easily remove
as you walk. Wear a hat and good walking shoes for bushwalking.

fitness level

Intermediate to Advanced walking abilities. This is a two day walk 25 kms in total. First day 13 km easy to moderate. The second day is moderate day with a large up at the end to Berowra Railway station.
