jerusalem bay social walk Experience the picturesque Hawkesbury River Region on this magnificent Jerusalem Bay Pub Walk from Cowan to Brooklyn. This track covers a small section of the 250 kilometre Great North Walk. Walk through majestic forests, pass numerous sandstone caves and take in wonderful views of beautiful Jerusalem Bay. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch, meet new friends and join us for a well earned drink at the famous Brooklyn Pub at the end of our walk.

Meet at Cowan Railway Station, Pacific Highway (On the Hornsby Rail Line). Look out for your guide who will be wearing Life's An Adventure t'shirts.

Trains available at Brooklyn at the end of the walk for the return journey back to Sydney or to return to your car at Cowan.

There are a few options to get you to the start of this walk. Driving: Drive by car & meet us at Cowan Railway Station. To get directions click on the Red marker 'A' on the map above, a white box will come up, then click "Get Directions: To Here" and type in your address details & it will calculate the best way to drive and driving times.
Car Pooling: We may be able to organise car pooling if required so please email us if you need to be picked up and we will see what we can do. Also if you are driving and prepared to help with car pooling please let us know.

what to bring
|
We suggest bringing a backpack to carry all your personal items. You may like to bring a camera to capture the amazing scenery you'll experience along the way. To ensure you keep well hydrated, please bring at least 2 litres of drinking water (on extremely hot days double this amount). We also recommend a hat and sunscreen and if you want to enjoy the river, bring your swimming costume and a towel.

what to wear
|
Please wear comfortable clothes, hat and enclosed walking shoes. Wear clothes to maintain a comfortable body temperature, we suggest not wearing jeans as you may overheat. High heeled shoes, thongs, sandals or skimpy shoes should not be used.

what happens if it rains
|
This event will still go ahead if it rains (Bring a light weight wet weather jacket and umbrella if there looks likes there is a chance of rain), however if the weather is extreme this event will be postponed to another date. Pre-paid tickets will be credited to the new date or another future event, sorry we cannot refund your money.

fitness level
|
BUSHWALK GRADE: Medium to Hard Medium to hard bushwalk with some hilly sections an/or rougher terrain. Opportunity for walkers to bushwalk in undisturbed natural environments mostly along defined and distinct tracks with several steep sections requiring good level of fitness. This is a 11.5km walk. If you are unsure that your fitness level is suitable for this event, please email us to qualify your ability.
