Eone of the finest coastal walks in NSW and Australia. Winding through Bouddi National Park, the Bouddi Coastal Walk takes in several beautiful beaches, separated by forests, hills and cliffs, that are only accessible on foot. The trail, which incorporates bridges and boardwalks, magnificent panoramic coastal views, gnarled red gums, spectacular rock shelves sculpted by crashing waves and even a shipwreck visible at low tide.

 transport

There are a few options to get you to the start of this ride.

Driving:  Drive by car & meet us at the Putty Beach Carpark. From Umina drive east along West Street than north along Barrenjoey Road. At the roundabout about 1.1kms along, turn right and follow Empire Bay Drive for almost 6kms, then drive south via Words Hills Road which climbs steeply up and over to the Scenic Road. Turn right here, then take the 2nd road on the left - sign posted to "Putty Beach". This partly sealed and partly gravel road ends at the Beach carpark (1.1kms from Scenic Road). what to bring

We suggest bringing a backpack to carry all your personal items. You may like to bring a camera to capture the amazing scenery you'll experience along the way. To ensure you keep well hydrated, please bring at least 1.5 litres of drinking water (on extremely hot days double this amount). We also recommend a hat and sunscreen and if you want to enjoy the beach, bring your swimming costume and a towel.

what to wear

Please wear comfortable clothes, hat and enclosed walking shoes. Wear clothes to maintain a comfortable body temperature, we suggest not wearing jeans as you may overheat. High heeled shoes, thongs, sandals or skimpy shoes should not be used. 

fitness level

BUSHWALK GRADE: Medium
Medium bushwalk with some hilly sections an/or rougher terrain. Opportunity for walkers to bushwalk in slightly modified natural environments on defined and distinct tracks with some steep sections requiring moderate level of fitness. Suitable for fit beginners. This is a 13.5km walk. If you are unsure that your fitness level is suitable for this event, please email us to qualify your ability.
