| Located
north of Sydney lies the small town of Wiseman's Ferry and
the location of the Great North Road an engineering feat built
by over 700 convicts in the early 1800's. Enjoy a journey along
this remote section of the road now closed to motorised traffic
and only accessible by walkers
and riders. You'll start your ride with a ferry journey to
cross the river and a short ride to the start of the Great North
Road. Along the way you'll marvel at the convict relics and engineering,
enjoy
spectacular
views
from
the ridge-top
of the beautiful Hawkesbury region and enjoy some great mountain
biking terrain. Lunch
and snacks are provided to enjoy along the way. Finish the
day with a well earned drink at the Wiseman's Ferry Inn. A
fun day out and a great way to mix and meet new people and
get it away from it
all. |

| TRANSPORT: |
There
are a few options to get you to the start of this mountain
bike ride.
Driving: Drive by car & meet us at
the the Wiseman's Ferry Inn. Please note: This is a 2 hour
drive from Sydney CBD.
Car
Pooling: We can organise car pooling if required
so please email us if you need to be picked up. Also
if you are driving and prepared to help with car pooling please
let us know.

need to email us with your intention to attend, as this is
a catered event and we need to ensure we have ample food.

| WHAT
TO BRING: |
Bring
your own mountain bike (an extra charge applies to those
needing bike hire). To ensure you keep well hydrated, please
bring at least 1.5 litres of drinking water. |
| WHAT
TO WEAR: |
Please
wear comfortable and non restrictive clothing for riding
(no jeans), wear a bike helmet and any protective clothing/accessories.

| FITNESS
LEVEL: |
Ride
Grade:Medium to Hard
Some technical sections and steep climbs,
would appeal to more experienced mountain
bikers. If
you are unsure that your fitness level is suitable for this event, please email
us to qualify your ability.

| WHAT
HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? |
This
ride will still go ahead if it rains (Bring a light weight
wet weather jacket if there looks likes there is a chance
of rain), however if the weather is extreme the ride will
be postponed to a future date.. Pre-paid tickets will be
credited to the new date or another future event, sorry
we cannot refund your money.
